The Westphalia Picnic and Homecoming in Westphalia, TX, provides the 125 year old Visitation Catholic CHurch parish funds to maintain the "largest wooden-structure church in Texas". Serving of fresh sausage, homefried chicken, Westpahalia noodles, slaw, dessert, and tea will be served, continually at the Parish Hall, from 11 AM to 6 PM. Plates to go will also be available. Bring your family and friends to take part in games, live auction, fun and fellowship on Sunday, October . Sunday morning Mass will be celebrated at 8 AM.
Take a few minutes to visit the Church, Little School Museum, Uncle Rubin's Farm Shed, and Convent they will be open from 9 am to 6 pm that day, and take a step back in time to see what life was like in Westpahlia, Texas, over 120 years ago. This community is recognized as a Texas Rural Historica District in the National Register of Historic Places. Everyone is Welcome.
