The Hoelscher Family of Texas 1846 to 2003 was published in 2008. It is a family history of Anton and Marie Catherine Hoelscher. The book includes in 1430 pages the historical biographies and photographs of the first three generations plus the 278 members of the fourth generation for a total of 333 Historical biographies.
Anton and Mary Catherine had six immigrant children, five of them living to adulthood. Elizabeth had 11 children, five of them living to adulthood and 60 grandchildren, with 10 of them who died young, did not marry or had no children. Anton, Jr., had six children, all living to adulthood, and 39 grandchildren, with seven of them who died young, did not marry or had no children. Joseph had 15 children with 13 living to adulthood, and 110 grandchildren of who 23 died young, did not marry or had no children. William had five children, four of them living to adulthood, and 20 grandchildren, died young, did not marry or had no children. Franz probaby died before adulthood. Bernard had 11 children, with ten living to adulthood, and 49 grandchildren, with 11 who died young, did not marry or had no children. Thus, the numbers for the fourth generation are: Elizabeth, 60; Anton Jr., 39; Joseph, 110; William, 20; Franz, 0; Bernard, 49.
